Home Americana wants you to have an amazing experience shopping with us! Our Return Policy below should answer most of your questions about returning an item.
Please review the pictures and product descriptions carefully to ensure your satisfaction with the order you are about to place. If you are ordering a large item, be sure to measure all doorways, hallways, and turns through these areas to verify that your item will fit in its final location. A lot of our items are rustic, or natural, and variations are common. There are often knots, and sometimes cracks in the wood that are completely natural and should be expected for some products. We will always try to work with you if you are unhappy with your purchase, but knowledge is power, so don’t hesitate to Contact Us before placing your order, so that we can assist you with any questions you may have.
- Your merchandise must be returned within 15 days from the date of purchase.
- You may exchange or receive a store credit for your return.
- The original shipping cost cannot be refunded, and return shipping will be paid for by the purchaser.
- Some items may not be returnable, including some custom orders.
- Some returned items may incur a 30% restocking fee that will be charged when the return has been received.
- Any charges for a return or exchange will be discussed with you before the item is returned. Email us as CustomerCare@HomeAmericana.com or fill out a Return Form to begin processing your request. See below for instructions.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR RETURNS
- Merchandise must be returned in its original condition meaning that the merchandise is unworn, unused, unwashed, and in original packaging and that you include a copy of the invoice or packing slip with your reason for return.
- Please fill out the return form for a return authorization number and to ensure that the item is not a final sale item and is able to be returned under our policy.
- Write your return authorization number on the outside of the box in order for your return to be accepted.
- After 15 days, all sales are final. Unfortunately, we do not provide refunds/credits for shipping/handling charges for returns or final sale products.
- Items returned without a return authorization number, past 15 days, or not in original condition will be returned to customer at the customer's expense.
- If you received an item you did not order, or there is something else incorrect about your order, contact us ASAP using the instructions below in “Damaged in Shipping”.
DAMAGED IN SHIPPING
- If an item is damaged during shipping, seller will not be held responsible. A reasonable attempt to replace the item will be performed by the seller. The seller will take all reasonable steps to ensure the protection from loss, damage or destruction of the services or materials it supplies the buyer.
- If your order was damaged in shipping, email us at CustomerCare@HomeAmericana.com as soon as possible.
- You must contact us within 3 days of the order being delivered, otherwise you are acknowledging that you accept the damaged product “as is”, and will not be recieving a refund or exchange for the product.
- Please include pictures of the damaged product, your name, and your order number.
- Retain all packaging. Your order must be returned with all original packaging.
- The damaged product may or may not be shipped back to the seller or manufacturer. Once we receive your request, we will contact you to review the details of your refund or exchange.
- Home Americana cannot accept returns for damaged or incorrect products after 3 days.
- Home Americana is not responsible for shrinkage or bleeding as a result of washing your item(s). Please read care instructions and take precautions while cleaning your product.
- The following items are not returnable/exchangeable under any circumstances: Custom orders including personalization, or uncommon finishes and upholstery. Any item that has been used, washed, worn or is lacking it’s original packaging.
- Items that have been damaged due to incorrect installation or while moving it around your home cannot be returned.
- Shipping and freight costs to return or exchange an item will be covered by the purchaser. The original shipping or freight cost cannot be refunded or credited.
CREDITS AND EXCHANGES
- Store credits will be applied to your account or a gift voucher for use whenever you come back to shop with us.
- Credits to credit cards take approximately two weeks to process from the time the return is received and processed.
- Exchanged items, along with orders that use a store credit at checkout, are not eligible for free shipping.
- Shipping charges incurred for exchanges will be billed to the customer who placed the original order unless otherwise specified.
- Handling fees, surcharges, and other additional shipping fees from the original purchase will not be credited.
- Canceled or modified orders must be done as soon as possible, usually within 24 hours after placing your order.
- Email your request to CustomerCare@HomeAmericana.com, we will do everything we can to assist you.
- If the order has been shipped we will not be able to cancel or modify the order, it would then be the customer's responsibility to send the package back to Home Americana and the original return/exchange policy will be applied.
